Loyal Fool
I am a jester and a fool
Trickster here to scare your ghouls
Living only for laughter’s mercy
I am a soft mouthed labrador
With wicked, snarling teeth to roar
Should anyone come to harm my pack
I am fleeting, and afraid
Lost within my own charade
My body, my mind, my heart
Tricked myself to think pain is art
A cell of cells
Unlocked through mind’s intent
But choked in heart’s lament
What a foolish, foolish dog am I
