Lost Family Unity

Tue, 08/13/2013 - 20:27 -- RRM1234

Location

Before the computer

Before the cell phone

Before the Internet

Before texting and email

There was face to face connection

Talking, visiting, laughing with a family member

Human to human contact and conversation

Time spent with one another, a hug, a kiss

Sometimes a good cry and a shoulder to cry on

Family unity is now a lost art in the world of technology

It's sad to see how many people have lost the desire to spend time with family

Sit and eat a meal together or watch a two hour movie

We should ask ourselves if family unity will ever return

If a birthday or Christmas Card will ever find its way to a mailbox again?

I would gladly give up technology for a family gathering every Sunday afternoon.
