Lost

Anger, Fury, Anxiety, Rage,

Brew upon an open stage

Cries for help amass the rumble

Diminished survivors stagger, often stumble

Evaluating what has happened now

Friends and families asking, “How?”

Good in spirit was once this boy

Happy and smiling with his toy

In time he grew distant, far away

Juggling different hobbies in his day

Keg-drinking, gambling and many other things

Lost in Life’s Destiny string

Morality dropped, violence grew

Not one soul knew what to do

Oppressed by the stress of not living up to his name

People were killed by his wrathful flames

Quarrelling with him made things worse

Rebounding feelings, igniting a curse

Soon people acted in the same way as he

Taking out their feelings on the innocent and weak

Under society’s expectations virtues are lost in condemnation

With emotions the world is full of strife

Xenophobes strike with a tainted knife

Yearn to rid the world of uncertainty

Zest for killing; change is almost complete.
