Live With It

Betty M. White was an ingenuous comedian

A hilarious lady and a great actress

However, this classy quasi-centenarian

Was ahead of her time. Nobody could mess

With her. She was immensely talented

And was never afraid to express

Herself.  In 1954, she defied bigoted

And racist demands with three words:

‘Live with it’. Unfortunately and wontedly

The powerful racists failed to get it

And to stop this ‘word’ which rhymes with it

This ‘it’: racist, repugnant and nasty venom

Like an insidious cancer or a multiform

Virus which won’t vamoose or beat it

The world will miss Mrs. White Ludden, ‘the First Lady

Of Television’. Unfortunately, the Merciful God in His Kingdom

Let Satan miseducated, brainwashed or proselytized them

The zealots who burnt Black Streets, Capitals, and Farms.

P.S. Homage To Betty Marion White, A Legendary Actress and Comedian.
