Live for the Inbetween

The first day of kindergarten.

The last year of prom.

The first kiss at recess.

The final summer love.

The first bicycle ride without training wheels.

The last drive with Dad alongside.

The first steps as a timid freshman.

The final stage-walk as a senior.

The first quiz.

The final exam.

The first hello.

The last goodbye.

Life is full of firsts.

Life is full of lasts.

It's the memories that go inbetween that make the beginnings exciting,

And the endings memorable.
