Little Town of Salem

Perhaps it is right,

Perhaps it is true,

That the devil lives in Salem,

That he lives in me and you

There are snakes in the water,

There is gossip in the air,

Snakes will bite if you tread,

So by God's will, beware!

See, the dilemma is with confession;

To be condemmed by those young callows?

But, if you deny your stolen soul,

You'll see salvation on the gallows

For no more is God the judge,

'Tis guilty til proven otherwise,

But no matter which you choose,

At least one will see your disguise

So as hipocracy flows through the air,

As the scent of fear ages like wine,

Remember to prove one's greater sin,

Will bring you closer to the divine!

Yet my adive to you being:

Tell the truth, don't fear to die,

Hell has long been empty of devils

For they reign in humankind
