The Little Things

When the leaves rustle

And the bird sings

I don't need all the hustle and bustle

It's the little things.

The miniscule happenings of life

Like music notes through my ears they ring

Through all my hardships and strife

It's the little things.

Awesome are the little joys of the world

Oh, the happiness to me they bring

When I think my life has just unfurled

Comfort is brought by the little things.

Simply sitting outside on a sunny day

Watching the rain in the spring

I can rid myself of all dismay

By thinking of those little things.
