That Little Girl

I once knew a little girl

Push around and teased

Who only ever wanted

To help and aid the weak

That girl never could

Fit in with her own kind

But she found that animals

could help to calm her mind

Now that little girl

I seem to know no more

Now that she has found her place

Now she's passing through that door

Now I know a young adult

Who's strong and does beleive

That she does not need to belong

If she is helping animals in need.
