Lifted (I would change my friend's depression)

How eerie were the deep blue skies,

That loomed above heaven's eyes?

They draped down to the cloud-coated floor

And taunted the entrance to hell's open door.

Reaching within the flames abright,

They grabbed her soul and removed her smite.

They exuded love and brought her faith

And fought the demons that she doth slay'th.

She withered in angst and pain,

For fear of never seeing light again.

But with the help of the ethereal clouds

Fallen were her battle shrouds.
