a life worth living

When I think about you there are so many things

that make you something I can’t live without.

Like how the constellations in the night sky

have nothing on the freckles that cover your face.

Or how I have easily decided that the rings of Jupiter

aren’t as cool as the ring in your lip.

You may drink more coffee than a well-dressed business man

who has a meeting in five minutes,

but you also drink more chocolate milk than the nesquik bunny.

You can go from a child yourself

to a mother role in less than a second.

You are just about as important as the air I breathe

And I’ve decided that a life without you is not one I want to live.
