Life is What you Make it

Life is what you make it

We live on borrowed time

But if life is what we make it

Then it’s time that I make mine

Hide your sorrow in your pocket

To prepare for rainy days

Wear your laughter in a locket

For the times your happy frays

I promise you’ll find happiness

Like a flower on your chin

But you’ll also live with loneliness

if you choose to let it in

See, we have to know the darkness

To appreciate the light

Like a night that’s black and starless

to await a new sunrise

Your time is what you make it

Like I’ve said to you before

So be careful how you spend it

For there’s so much to live for

This poem is about:
Our world
