Life Is Made Up Of Decisions- Choose Wisely

Leaving the house, saying your goodbyes,

getting in the car.

"I'll see you later" you think to yourself.

Trees, houses, life rushes past you

the sound of music is all you hear.

You look down for a few seconds, 1/4 of a mile passes

your smart phone is all you see.

Texting your friends, changing the song,

you look up and continue driving.

Park the car, it's time to enjoy the party

friends, classmates, strangers drinking together.

One drink, two drinks, three drinks later

grab your keys, it's time to leave.

Speeding down the road, blurred vision,

swerving all over the road,

a deer runs out in front of you.

Slamming on the brakes

trying to avoid hitting the deer, you hit a tree

ejected from your car, SPLAT!

Ring! Ring! "hello?"

Crying coming from the other end of phone

your parents upset, wishing they

would never get this call.

Dressed in black,

friends, family, co-workers, classmates gather

Rest In Peace
