But I love learning.

and "knowledge is power"

but not in the cliche statement

- in the way that a new idea makes a pair of eyes brighten

with passionate interest -

when I was seven and learned about Wild Things and

Cats in Hats and

Trees that Give and

I owe all my of love for learning to

gasps that erupted when willows whomped cars and

feeling infinite.

I owe my bright-eyed passion to libraries.

My dream is to grab hold

of the small hands that love stories and say:

Imagination is more powerful than you would ever believe

and be curious

and discover

and learn as much as you can

because there are so many things you are capable of

and it all starts with reading

and you can't put a price on that.
