Letting the Petals Fall
Location
Yield not sincere vulnerability
Like the thorns on a rose doth separate
Underneath lies thine past adversity
Still the petals will fall for ‘tis their fate
And expose the beautiful irony,
The reserved heartache that remains concealed
For the sake of loving one’s enemy
Desp’rate to express what’s long been withheld
A heart open to weakness will endure
O sweet rose that hath a heavy burden
Fear not the measure of judgements impure
Let false notion wither on the sudden
To set free thine tamed and afflicted heart
Embrace fallen petals as truth thou art
