Letting Go...

Sat, 12/29/2018 - 19:25 -- Teshla

                                Letting Go...

  •                                        As I watched you slowly walk out,
  •                                       I did my best not to pout
  •                                      your heart turned cold as ice
  •                                      I wonder why I sacrificed my old life
  •                                           I wait for you to turn around
  •                                        But you never made a sound.
  •                                    ...
  •                                       Only took so long to find
  •                                   that you were never really mine.
  •                                    Only 11 months down the road,
  •                                       I found the strength to let you go.
  •                                     Now I know that the lessons learned,
  •                                         were all in all worth the burn.
  •                                      I think about the tears I shed,
  •                                        and letting go was the best thing yet...
  •
