A Letter to Myself

Dear me in the past,

Breathe.

For that is all you can do sometimes.

Don't let fear get to you. Just breathe.

Don't let the people who don't see you for your worth get to you. Just breathe.

Don't let the torturous nights where you lie awake wondering what you did to deserve what is happening get to you. Just breathe.

Don't let the agonizing moments of going to school get to you. Just breathe.

Don't let the person who you once thought you could trust get to you. Just breathe.

Don't dwell in the past of the happy moments and wonder how things have gotten so bad. Just breathe.

Because it will pass. You just keep waking up every morning, rolling out of bed, and breathing because darling you'd be surprised at how healing time can be. So just Breathe.

For that is all you can do sometimes.

Breathe.

From, a happy future you
