Learn To Live

Born out of a sublime environment,
a baby finds culture, born in the future.
Surrounded by love, virtue, and cosmic dew,
yet found dangerous, a space filled with the plausible.
The moral standard no longer of its day, if such existed, the child would obey.

Only three words were spoken:
“Learn to live,” or your soul will reach death,
faintly at the age of ten, they comprehend:
that all of existence is clustered, as a braided pattern
lightly scripted into a document, that list where you came from...

After the socialization had occurred,
the protagonist begin to mislead their world.
Confusing lusty desire, fully indulging
even dating more than one, oh the fun!
but by chance, leaves a sour taste on the tongue.

Through experience, we understand each other,
even if one can mentor their guardian.
What of the thousands without shelter?
Did they, who could speak, learn to live?
All of which, became the mother culture…
