The Laughter of A Kid
The laughter of a kid, sends chills down my spine.
The purity and high pitch, reminding me of what life was like back then.
No force or restraint, just a tickled heart,
Reminding me of the deepest dream in my soul.
The dream to teach and to act as a guide for them,
To mold them into their best selves, without taking away that laugh.
I plant my feet in the morning, praying that I can push through the day—
Push through for the kids I will push in the future.
Their laughter fills my head and heart with the lightest kind of joy, and so I begin my stride for the day, for them.
