Me and my little sister all alone
Mom and Dad are not home
Empty stomachs howl in the night
not a crumb of food lays in sight
As I lay in bed I realise
I need to save us from our own demise
I find some pasta in the cabinet
And make way like a bandit
Now we sit down with our forks
Eating spaghetti like we’re in New York
Now we sit and now I know
I can care for my sister on my own
