To the land of the free, to the home of the brave

We sing these words proudly for all to hear

But what aboout those who we still need to save?

The lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgenders; who still live in fear

America the beautiful, we preach equality

For the blacks and the whites, for the girls and the guys

But the "queers" and the "faggots" are outcasts of polity

Rights are stolen, kids are bullied for loving and people die

Some say it's a choice, why would I pick this

Dirty glares, unloving parents, being told to change

They say be who you are but two guys or girls can't kiss

We value freedom but if you love "wrong people" then you get shortchanged

When we can all say "I do" to the one we love

That is when we can all sing of the land of the free

We are all worth the same to our God up above

Equality, love, freedom, acceptance is what we all need to see
