Land of the Forgotten

As I struggle throught this land

Of hopelessness and fear,

I pass a sea of faces-

Ones that hold no cheer.

I cross the sea of betrayal

And over the bridge of doubt,

into the desert of despair.

I'm just another wanderer

in the land where no one cares.

In this city,

the lights are dim

and the air is stale.

The canyon of grief holds no tone;

in this world everyone is alone.

The people are a forsaken lot

in this land that God forgot.
