Lamenting Loch Ness

Sun, 07/14/2019 - 01:15 -- c@ndace

The Loch Ness monster of today

Nessie is what she’s called

She is very upset with us

Disappointed in us all

We trashed her Scottish lake

Polluted the air, water, and trees

We are killing her precious earth

We’ve put plastic in the seas

The Loch Ness monster of today

Has lost what she has known

The only people she sees now

Are just absorbed in their phones

All the earthquakes

Are from her miserable screams

Because life as she knows it

Is ripping and the seams

The fires are from the hurt in her heart

She’s burning up inside

Hurricanes come from her hits

Her anger shown on the seaside

It’s hard to adjust to this new world

She’s having a hard time figuring it out

These new people have changed

Nessie misses what the world used to be about

Our world
