Lake of Tears

How does one fill a void inside?

Who is there in which I can confide?

I'd like to say I need to swallow my pride,

But there's none left, so now I'll just hide.

You can't fill a black hole with empty promises and lies;

And I've failed to fill it even with all these tears that I've cried.

To be honest with you friends, my biggest fear,

Is of slowly drowning in a lake of my own tears.
