kids who die

Location

this is for the kids who die

latino, black, and white

for kids will die certainly

the old and rich will live on

going on another trip to costa rica

as always

eating their blood

stealing their gold

letting kids die

kids will die in the projects in the south bronx

organizing community advocates

kids will die in the streets of south side chicago

organizing workers fighting against crime

kids will die in a one way street in comptom

tellings others to get together and stop the ridiculous onslaught of killings

latinos and whites

black and filipinos

all types of kids will die

who don't believe in lies, and bribes, and contentment

and a lousy, stupid peace

of course,let's not forget

the wise and the learned

the true pen editorials in the papers

and the gentleman in the title Dr. in front of his name

white, latino, and black

who translate surveys and write meaningful books

will live on preaching words to only smother kids who will die

and the sleazy courts

and the corrupted police

and the blood thirsty generals

and the money hungry, claim to be loving preachers

will all raise their hands against all the kids who will die

clubbing them with laws, clubs, bayonets, and of course bullets

to scare the people

for the kids that will die are like magnets that stick to you

and the old and rich don't want the people

to see their true colors , therefore not to be stuck for the kids who die

don't want people to grow wise to their own empowerment

listen to me

kids who die

maybe, now, there is no sentiments for you

except in our hearts

maybe your bodies be lost on the corner

or a prison grave, or lying down helpless in a desolate building

or the rivers where you're drowned like those two kids

who ignore the sign right off the bronx zoo

but that will come

be sure yourself because its coming

when the marching feet of the masses

will raise for you a living monument of love

full of joy and laughter

latino hands, black hands, and white hands clasped as one

and a song that reaches the sky

the song of the life triumphant

through the kids who die
