Kaledoscope

Location

All the colors,

anything I can imagine.

It all swarms around in my mind,

similar to the gnats during a South Georgia summer.

The more I think, the more sharp each image becomes.

Everything is becoming more clear to me.

Now it all looks like a bunch of shapes.

I go back to the time when I was teaching small children

how to make shape patterns.

As each memory floods my mind, the shapes become more

than just shapes.

They are faces. Objects. Things.

The things that make up my life.

The objects I use everyday.

The faces who made me who I am.

All of this comes together to make up the world inside

 my kaleidoscope.

What do you see when you look in yours?
