Just One Dance

When dancing, I'm perfect
I don't care what you say
My one night of respect
I'm doing it my way

Dance without any thought
No plans or needless faults
A bliss that can't be bought
With routines, ballet, waltz

I can dance forever
When the music is on
Ask me to stop? Never
One dance, my flaws are gone

No makeup, special hair
Three times I've worn my dress
What I wear, they don't care
I just dance to impress

Strangers ask me to dance
Those I know stay away
But it's their only chance
I'll be flawed the next day

Though deep inside I know
Even then, they can't see
That when I let it go
It's my perfect: it's me
