a junkie, a dead beat, a loser

I am not

a pot head, a lush, a crack head, or pill popper

I am not

a boozer, a drunk, a tweeker, a bum

I am not

a high on, a crack whore, a druggie, a stoner

I am not

weak, moraless, a failure, a dissapointment, a nuisance

I am

a recovering addict and alcoholic. 

I am

trying to make up for the harm I caused in the past

I am 

simply a woman trying to get her life back.

I refuse to be defined by my past mistakes
