The Jump

The jump they talk about is not literal.

They tell you that you have to jump.

To take that leap of faith.

I took that leap once.

I put my heart on the line

And I let people see my pride and joy,

I wrote a play.

And I was proud of it.

When I had my chance to show it off,

I took it.

Looking back,

there was more I could have done with it.

But even with the way it was.

Everyone said it was the best play of the year.

That leap of faith

Allowed me to find my dream

And share my heart.
