that represents love that never left your hands

caress your soul full of life

overwhelms warmth with passion

it breeds life that embraces humanity

accepts people at its highest as well at its lowest 

despite crisis i'm enduring

i can hear you sing it to me when you say

let the sorrows of pain pass

your fruitful words of magnificance inspires people

where i can hear you recite, nudes of restlessness

pour over my soul, garlands of emotions

poetry found you when you connect your feelings to nature

julia, you are a poem

when you said, the sun comes out dying in the shadow of the slum

julia, you are a poem

when you withstand the ponce massacre

where police slaughtered 21 and wounded 150 march 21st, 1937

julia, you are a poem

when you meaningfully write letters saying how much you miss and love your sister

julia, you are a poem

when you recited about death saying how to die by myself, abandoned and alone

upon a densest rock of a deserted island

julia, you are a poem

that represents justice by 

advocating for women equality

helping out the poor

honoring the puerto rican nation

educating young people to aspire by being greater

julia, you are a poem

that screams ay, ay, ay, that you are kinky and black

you were left with 5 dollars to your name

same clothes and shoes on your body

your contribution in a short period ignites more relevance

than someone of 65 and still remains to be miserable

julia, you are a poem

in which i know you through poetry, i felt your words

i thank you for permitting me as a poet to inspire lives
