I've grown, the world will see it too

I was a girl who was afraid

I'd walk in fear and walk in shame

Left, right, left, right, just keeping straight

Don't make contact, or you'll be made

A fool for being human too,

But you're like me, and I'm like you

I've cried and thought, and felt my blues

I now know just to tend my bruise(es)

Then came the day where I had thought

That I could take my life to rot

All the ones who loved me had brought

Their heart, and soul, and this had taught

Me that nothing could change

How fam'ly was so whole and strange

A soft beam I'd never exchange

It's something I'm glad I've obtained

I mind my own and walk forward

I pave my street, though still awkward

And I still learn, my plants, watered,

They thrive with green. My life: honored

This poem is about:
My family
