I've Gone and Grown Up

The mirror doesn’t change but the reflection does

It took me a while to realize I’m the one

The one who’s got it

I’ve had it all along

Tried to find it by changing outfits

But looking at it physically was wrong

I believed I was mature

But life hadn’t endured

Taxes weren’t a thing

College was in the distance

That changed all in spring

When I had to chose my admittance

I’ll be on my own

I guess I have grown

Something you look forward to

But hard to process when in view
