It's you.

My screams echo against my own ear drums.

Yet, no one even turns a head to save me.

Do you hear me?

Am I mute?

I run and inch my face closer to theirs,

my arms finely chopping the air.

Not even a blink of an eye .

Do you see me?

Am I invisible?

I reach out to grasp their arms.

Gripping like a shark’s jaws, I squeeze for attention.

Not even a swat to rid the annoyance.

Can you feel me?

Am I untouchable?

No.

My screams are the loudest of them all.

But they are deaf.

My presence is undeniably obvious.

But they are blind.

My touch is lethal.

But they do not feel.

Why?

They are simply ignorant.
