We say we love roses

yes, they're beautiful

but what about the leaves and roots?

why not love them too?

for they are what make the rose grow beautiful

 

We say we love him

for his looks that is

but what about for his generous heart and humble self?

for those characteristics make him beautiful as well

 

We say we love a lot of things

not for what they are

but for how they look like

why?

 

Our society focuses on looks

on how we are supposed to look like

we don't take time to appreciate what's within

which is what really counts

 

Our society gives the impression to males and females

that looking a certain way, is the right way

and if they don't we are quick to judge them

it shouldn't be like this

 

but it sadly is
