I,too matter - a rewrite of I,too

I, too, matter

I am the unborn daughter.

The one with the heartbeat.

The one without a life.

But my heart still beats,

My ears still listen,

And my feet still kick.

Tomorrow,

I will be born

Without a life

But not to you.

To the mother and father who love me.

One day,

You will see my beauty

You will see what I could’ve been

But until then I will look down on you

I, too, am life
