Is It School or Jail?

Is it school or jail?

We go on shaky buses

There is work to do.

Tax money pays it

We move when the bell tells us

Visitors can come.

There is a dress code

We eat the food provided

There are drug searches.

There are lockdown drills

No leaving until released

Locked inside our rooms.

Relief when it ends

Adjusting to life at home

What is the difference?

Thank you! Finally someone who acknowledges and defines why school is a prison. It all depends on how you see it.
