innocent?

Location

Innocent: not responsible for or directly involved in an event yet suffering its consequences.

I told you, I didn't do anything. I'm innocent.

You're guilty until proven innocent.

Proven innocent?

I'm black. I'm guilty.

I'll always be black and I'll always be guilty.

Freedom they say,

Justice they claim,

Except the exceptions of the "non accepted"

The one's who always have a "concealed weapon".

The ones who have their hands raised to prove they mean no harm.

The ones who “innocently” walk home but are shot while holding Arizona’s and skittles.

But it’s the same thing.

The same bad scene over and over again.

A constant reminder of how bad this country can be.

How tragedies only bring people together.

This wasn’t what Martin Luther King Jr. wanted. He wanted peace.

He wanted love.

He wanted equality.

But this inequality is constantly, existing.

Consistently, abruptly, to those innocently there.

Wrong place wrong time?

No.

Being black is wrong. They don’t say it. But that’s what it comes down to.

Black is not ok. Black is violent, black is why we shoot first and ask questions later.

But how long?

How much longer do we take of this “guilty until proven innocent’ bullshit?

How many more do we kill?

How many more families have to shed their tears forever?

Honestly, I’m scared.

I’m scared they are trying to get rid of us, to extinct us.

I don't want anymore Michael Brown stories.

It's not fair.

Truly not fair..
