Ink Ripped
Passing seasons never falter
Ink inscribed skin ever after
Heart ache a burning volcano
I hear a bird's song of sorrow
How can I rise from this abyss
When all I want is to remiss
The torturous emotions
The constant ill notions
The scalding rejection
The frozen affection
Of all this mighty destruction
But wait, I rise again
I recognize my own desparation
Energy course through me
Ignite me, change me, inspire me
Allow the destruction to waver
Allow again me to be braver
So that I may feel the pain
Of needle upon skin again
To solidify my yearly lessons.
