Infrangible
I’ve noticed every layer added only makes you stronger,
Intense heat causes your bond to grow closer.
Your red jagged edges of your broken surface,
Scrape against my gentle pure flesh.
Unknowing secrets hide between your plastered lips,
Sealed for eternity.
Your walls are unbreakable,
But I will find a way to knock them down.
You grow dark as the world pours down on you,
When the sun awakens so do your new imperfections.
Your dirty exterior,
Forever getting coated with denim and debris.
And the faint lines of pastel powder dripping down your face,
And the intense pigment painted onto your uneven surface
The older you get the more character you absorb
The more weathered and beautiful you become
But one thing will never change,
You forever being there for someone to lean on.
