Infected

Sick and ill with no one to blame

A city hospital calls my name

Needle in the vein with little flaw

A port in the chest to assist with the draw

Doctors rush like blood flows

What is wrong, nobody knows

Surgery is scheduled

The surgeon walks in with words unsaid

Alone in a room walls of white

I have never seen such a lonley sight

A knock on the door releases the nerves

Doctors bring news that disturbs
