I'm sorry

I'm sorry.
Pardon me.
For a second there I thought you might love me,
Maybe it was the words you said to me,
Comparing my smile to the world's seven wonders,
My eyes to fine rubies,
Or maybe it was that cold night you called me when I was feeling depressed and lonely,
When you showed me you actually cared for me and told me how much you value me.
I guess I must've mistook that friendship for love.
Pardon my mistake.

I'm sorry,
Pardon me.
For a second there I thought you might love me.
For a second there I forgot we are in quarantine,
Where everyone is looking to get risky.
Nothing is ever that serious, right?
We are all just bored, Looking for some fun,
It is what it is, right?
I'm starting to question the truth in your words.
After all, you are just a smooth mouth.....

I'm sorry,
Pardon me.
For a second there I thought you might love me,
But I guess I was wrong,
You see, a "wise" man once said,
'Expect nothing and Anticipate everything'
Maybe this was just a moment of anticipation.
No need for expectation.
In the end, we all get hurt.
Yet in the end of this story,
The only hurt person was me.
I truly and humbly apologising for thinking we could be more....
