If I Could Change the World

Heart beats

Sound of drums

Cannon fires

Blood runs

A child screams

In the dead of night

A baby taken

Out of sight

Tip toes tower

Above the street

One step forward

Ground they meet

If I could change the world

No more guns would sound

If I could change the world

No one would be lost only found

If I could change the world

No more life would ever drown

A crying soul

Broken heart

A life lost

Death did its part

Rain comes

Lighting shatters

World in shambles

Now nothing matters

Tight grip

Around the bar

Lost its chance

Now it’s among a star

If I could change the world

No sorrow would take hold

If I could change the world

No storm could break the mold

If I could change the world

No baby would ever go cold
