I Will Prevail

I WILL PREVAIL

I will hold myself to a higher scale

I will no longer be looked at as the ordinary black man

But instead i will be looked at as a black man with a plan

A plan to be someone great

A plan to not fall in a crate

A crate labeled ordinary black man

Pants sag, pimp hoes, bad dad

I will Prevail to become a statistic

I will not fall to the success of the whitemans misson

I am not the ordinary black man

Raised by a loving mother and a great step dad

My real dad was never around

But i prevail to let his bad fathering go another round

I refuse to be like him

I am not the ordinary black man like him

Taught to treat my Black Queen right

And not to lay down my belifs without a fight

I am not the ordinary black man

I lead ahead, with my own plan

Prevail to have the ordinary black man traits

I will prevail to be seen as a mistake

I WILL PREVAIL
