I AM A PLANE
I never stay in one place,
I am constantly traveling,
It’s the only thing I truly know.
I don’t know what it’s like to stay in one place,
I am a foreigner in my own country.
People come and go in my life,
One by one, a friend or family member just walk out,
Never saying a word.
I take off whenever I’m told,
It breaks my heart when my mom tells me we are leaving again,
To a different state, to a new home,
I have no control over where I go or when I leave.
This is who I am.
