I Am Ombré

Location

I am Ombré

Multiple shades of the same color

With my layers and different personalities

I'm more than the girl you see

Don't try to box me in

You can't retain me

Or whitewash me boring

I've got the island in my bloodstream

My mother is an American siren with a splash of Puerto Rican crazy

A commanding attitude with a laidback laughter that she would eventually pass on to her baby

Loud as a bomb one minute

Quiet as a whisper the next

I'll be your worst enemy

or the best friend you ever had

A bushel of thorns or a walk in the park

I'm brutally honest so don't take it to heart

A reflection of both the light and the dark

A balance of humility, talent and smarts
