I am Finally Moving

I am finally moving.

The long time I’ve passively sat

enters into oblivion

as my hand shape letters and words.

Making plans gives me no energy,

nor does hearing of others’ moving hands,

my body must simply initiate,

my mind must fall back

and learn to follow.

I listen to music, don’t we all?

But I only feel it

on those rare occasions when I caress the viola in my arms

and hear my own music.

Movies are artificial pleasure,

witnessing fantastic conversations and scenes.

True interaction transcends,

and preparation is but a small boon

to the creation of an original experience,

when others and I produce an enthrallment of our own.

I must finally get moving,

escape my mental circles,

find a place to go and get there,

and my hand is now beginning.
