I am Black

Wed, 06/03/2020 - 14:38 -- N.F SOL

I am a Black American, who see's injustice all around me while breathing this ironic air called freedom

I am a Black Man, who's afraid to run down the street without looking like a threat to those who do not look like me

I am a Black Woman, who fears for my sons'  lives as soon as they step out of the door of supposed opportunity

I am a Black Worker, who sacrifice my life everyday to live in this country that my family has built

I am a Black Student ,who's scared to be myself due to the idealization of what society wants me to be

I am a Black Child, who wonders why my crown is described as  'nappy' rather than beautiful

But I am a strong,  determined, will minded Black American, Man, Woman, Worker, Student, and Child who's voice must be heard because we are part of the country that we built for free
