I am

Mon, 02/10/2014 - 20:55 -- reva

 I am inadequate.

(is that an SAT word?)

adj. lacking the quality or quantity required; insufficient for a purpose

In a world chock full of Merit Scholars, and teenage charity founders, and tech wizards,

I am a 17 year old girl with no driver’s license.

I still can't spell N̶e̶c̶c̶e̶s̶s̶a̶r̶y̶ necessary correctly.

I lack the quality required to go to a college my parents can brag about.

My talents are insufficient to propel me to super stardom

(even the local news would be a stretch)

Quite frankly my talents are insufficient to propel me past third place

Runner-up is my middle name

I am average.

I've yet to write a bestseller,

Yale and Harvard have yet to write.

Most schools are reach schools for me.

I am neither a piano prodigy, nor am I the number one point guard or pass rusher.

I have no sob story nor did I grow up on the mean streets of Chiraq or Detroit.

Sometimes I bore myself.

Occasionally my tweets are funny

I am consistently above mediocre but below exceptional.

I am me.

Unfortunately that isn't quite enough for anyone--

especially me.
