Humanity

Location

Humanity

Filled with pride and vanity

The desire to be bigger

To never sit and figure

Maybe the pain of others

The people, the children, the mothers

Is just the same as yours

That all they see are closing doors

Doors of opportunities once open

Now they struggle with the act of coping

Dealing with lives of poverty and sorrow

Never getting the chance to look forward to tomorrow

If we just reached out a helping hand

We could pull them up from the dusty land

Push them up towards the open sky

Give them a chance to finally fly

Fly towards that gleeming sun

To burn brighter than anyone

To let them be proud and joyous

Of the day they finally get to join us

Because maybe the pain of others

The people, the children, the mothers

Is just the same as ours

So don't be so awfully sour

Don't sit there and be full of vanity

Do your best to help Humanity
