Human ReConnection

We all rest under the same Moon

And are greeted by the same Sun

We are all connected by birth and by death

By blood, by skin,

Connected by water

The water that flows through 70% of our planet

That’s 60% of our entire being

Keeps us grounded

Keeps memories of one another

Thank you to our Mothers!

We are connected by the stars and

The smell of incoming storms

Hearing the ocean, the crackle of fires

Dancing in the rain,

Holding each other in the wind

The comfort of nature

The simplicity of life

Makes us feel

alive,

small,

and Connected

We have made our lives complicated

We treat each other poorly

We have set community aside and forgotten

To greet the Sun

To dance in the rain

To hold each other

For that, we thank our fathers

We must reconnect and lean on each other

Sit by water and listen

Walk barefoot in grass and feel

Look up to the clouds and

Remember

We all will return to where we once came

And we will reconnect again

With the Sun and the Moon

The clouds and stars

And together with God

This poem is about:
Me
My country
Our world
