Watch Out

I scream to the sun

The moon is beginning to take over

Sun take charge

I yell to the sun

The moon is beginning to take over

The darkness is setting in

and the sun is fading out

my diminishing shadow seems to cry out

pleading to be set free

The sun did not listen

and I'm now alone

the moon looks to be winking

as if laughing at my anguish

 The monsters once hiding

now walk with a stride

And now I'm the one having to hide
